![]() Andie GioinoContemporary Ballet meshes elements from classical ballet and lyrical dance. Its purpose is to learn how to create fluid dance movements that are expressive and graceful. The class will encourage flexibility while combining improvisation and freer movements to create a style that’s expressive and nontraditional. Students will acquire new tools to supplement their own techniques, increase their extensions, and improve the overall quality of their dance performance. | ![]() Psalm RobersonContemporary Hip-Hop brings together two styles to birth a unique expressive movement. Contemporary is a style that can’t be boxed in due to its collection of methods from post and post-modern dance. Hip-Hop is a high energy style that consists of bounces, rocks, and grooves. When fusing the styles together you get a combination of soft but powerful movements. | ![]() Sarah StokesContemporary Acro Flow Class begins with a conditioning athletic warmup. Through center, across the floor series, and improvisation, dancers will learn basic floorwork techniques focusing on release and resistance into the floor. Combining multiple modern dance and floor techniques, dancers will investigate their relationship with gravity and practice inversions and basic acrobatic movements through phrasework. |
