Christmas Fairytale (2024) Casting Agreement
This Letter of Agreement ("Agreement") is made between [Parent/Guardian listed below] and Metayer Dance Theatre ("MDT"). By signing this Agreement, you agree to the following terms:
1. Role and Participation
Cast Membership: You will be a member of the 2024 Christmas Fairytale cast.
Attendance: Participation in all scheduled performances and rehearsals is mandatory. Your role and cast assignment will be reconsidered after your second absence from a rehearsal.
2. Rehearsal Schedule
Rehearsal Days: All rehearsals are mandatory; no rehearsals are optional. Dancers are required to attend all assigned rehearsal times, typically held on Fridays or Saturdays at Fusion Dance Company. Occasionally, a Sunday rehearsal may be required by the Director. After Thanksgiving, no absences will be permitted.
Mandatory Rehearsal Dates: September 29, November 22, December 1, and December 6.
Performance Dates: December 7 at 1:00 PM and December 8 at 2:00 PM and 5:30 PM at East Forsyth High School (8910 Jot Em Down Rd, Gainesville, GA 30506).
Dress Rehearsals: December 1 at Fusion Dance Company and December 6 at East Forsyth High School (exact times to be determined).
3. Dancer’s Responsibilities
Attire: Dancers are responsible for providing their own pink and flesh tights, ballet slippers, make-up, hair supplies, and camisole (if necessary).
Behavior: Dancers must follow the Director’s and Stage Managers’ directions and maintain appropriate behavior at all times.
Costume Care: Dancers must take care of their assigned costumes. Costs for replacing any damaged costume due to negligence will be the responsibility of the dancer’s family.
Ticket Sales: Each dancer is required to sell a total of 10 tickets for the show. Payment for these tickets is due by November 1, 2024. Customers have the option to purchase the tickets online under your name at
Fees
Performance Fee: A non-refundable performance fee of $200.00 per child for families with one child, or $175.00 per child for families with two or more children. This fee covers expenses related to rehearsals, instructor fees, costumes, sets, and more. Please submit a check along with this signed Agreement by August 24, 2024.
5. Liability, Release, and Media Consent
Liability: MDT assumes no liability for any negligence or accidents involving the dancer. The individual signing this Agreement on behalf of the dancer assumes full responsibility.
Release: By signing below, you release MDT, including its trustees, officers, directors, instructors, and employees, from any claims for damages or injuries incurred while under MDT's instruction or supervision.
Photo and Video Waiver: You grant MDT the absolute and irrevocable right and unrestricted permission to use, publish, and republish any photographs or videos taken of you or your child during rehearsals, performances, and other related events. These images and videos may be used in any medium, including print, electronic, or social media, for purposes such as illustration, promotion, advertising, and trade. You understand that these materials will become the property of MDT and release MDT from any claims associated with their use.
6. Acceptance of Terms
Your signature below confirms that you have read, understood, and agree to all terms and conditions outlined in this Agreement and the Rules and Regulations of Metayer Dance Theatre.
7. Submission
Please return this signed Agreement and payment of fees by August 24, 2024.
